Paniole is produced by the Ciacci family who own the great Brunello estate Mocali. Wine Maker Alessandria Ciacci also oversees the production of Paniole which is a blend of 50% Olivastra Seggianese, 30% Moraiolo and 20% Leccino olives. Olivastra is a rare olive variety that produces one of the most elegant oils in Tuscany. On the estate they have about 3,700 olive trees that average 90 years in age. Paniole is USDA certified organic. Paniole is our bestselling Tuscan oil with great balance and concentration of flavor.
Paniole has rich aromatics of green tomato, olive and spice. Medium Intense Fruit and a a green-gold color. They don’t do promos with this EVOO but it is lovely never the less. This is the Olive Oil that caught our attention as to what great olive oil should be about 10 years ago. Production is 5,600 liters and the harvest date of our current inventory was October 25th 2015.
